We’re a church, not a data company. This page explains what our website collects, why we collect it and the choices you have.
The short version: we use a few tools to understand how the site is used and to help you connect with us. We never sell your information or share it with others for their marketing.
What we collect when you visit
Google Analytics and our website host record things like the pages you view, how long you stay, your general area (city or region) and the kind of device and browser you use. Google Analytics uses cookies to recognize a returning browser. Our host’s analytics don’t use cookies.
On a few pages, we also count which buttons people tap, so we know what’s helpful. We never record what you type.
Google ads
From time to time we run Google ads to invite people to church. When we do, Google uses cookies to tell us whether an ad led someone to our site, and it may show our ads to people who have visited before.
Forms, prayer requests and giving
Our Connect Card, prayer requests, sign‑ups and online giving are handled by our secure church database. What you enter there, like your name, email, phone number or request, goes to NewStory, and our staff use it to follow up with you.
Prayer requests are read only by our prayer team and are never shared.
Online giving is processed by a secure giving service, so your card and bank details are never stored on our website.
We send our email newsletters through trusted email services. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time.
If you give us your phone number, we may occasionally send you a text about church life. Reply STOP at any time to stop.
Ask NewStory, our chat assistant
Ask NewStory uses AI to answer questions about our church. Your questions and its answers are saved in a private file that only our staff can see, so we can improve its answers. We delete saved chats after six months, or sooner if you ask.
Please don’t share private or sensitive details in the chat. If you’d like to talk with someone, email us or call 213.744.1400.
Tools from other companies
Our site uses a few outside tools, each with its own privacy policy:
YouTube, for videos. They play in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and YouTube may set cookies once you press play.
Google Maps, on our directions and event pages.
Google Fonts, for the lettering on our site.
Logos RefTagger, for the Bible verse previews.
Keeping your information safe
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, and we limit who can see it. No website or online service is perfectly secure, though, so please keep that in mind when you share anything online.
Saved only on your device
A few features remember things on your phone or computer, not on our servers: notes you take during the service on our Sunday info page, your language choice on our Get Help in LA page and announcements you’ve closed. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Links to other websites
We link to other websites, like Instagram, Spotify, counselors and community services. Their privacy practices are their own.
Children
Our website isn’t designed for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
